Image
I am: 20 weeks pregnant Size of Baby : Banana ~ about 10.5 ounces and 6.5" long (at this point, the baby is measured in length) Total Weight Gained : 3 pounds Maternity Clothes : I have a nice little maternity clothes section in my closet. I am wearing maternity jeans in this picture, but a regular top. Gender : It's a BOY ! Name : Parker Holt Movement : I feel a few flutters here and there ~ really neat. Sleep : I have done some pillow adjusting this past week and it has helped. I'm still not sleeping great, but a little better so I'll take what I can get. What I Miss : A solid night's sleep, caffeine and a few foods I have to avoid. It's really not that bad though - just have moments here and there where I'd really like something particular. Cravings : No cravings ~ I wonder if I'll ever have any? How I'm Feeling: Except for the sleep struggles and occassional rough heartburn, I'm feeling really good! I've had a really easy pregnancy thu...

What a Difference a Year Makes

Image
A year ago today (on a Thursday), I was being wheeled into surgery to have an endometrial polyp and endometriosis removed. Luckily, everything went very smoothly and I recovered nicely. Nice months later, almost to the day, John and I were sitting in my doctor's office (awesome Dr. Potter) discussing our options due to the fact that I still wasn't pregnant since having the surgery. Bascially, our next step was some type of fertility drug or treatment. We had a lot of questions and concerns about that and needed time to think and pray. She put no pressure on us, but just said to call when we've decided what we want to do and how we want to move forward. We decided that we just weren't sure that we wanted to go that route and decided to leave it in the Lord's hands and let His will be done. Exactly 20 days later, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Praise be to God! So here we are, one year since my surgery - 19 weeks pregnant and expecting a precious baby bo...

Halloween Decor

Image
Now that October has begun, I put out a few Halloween decorations around the house. We are not Halloween freaks! There are people out there that are a little insane and go above and beyond when it comes to decorating and celebrating Halloween. We aren't into the scary stuff like skulls, skeletons, witches and ghosts (only friendly ones). We love to put out a few decorations, watch "The Great Pumpkin" with the Peanuts gang and pass out Halloween candy (which we are already stocking up on). I do have a few pairs of Halloween socks I like to sport throughout October too. So we keep it pretty low key for Halloween, but it's fun to celebrate a little bit. On Halloween we usually order pizza and eat while we pass out candy. This year it's on a Monday so we'll also have Monday Night Football on in the background too. The first two pictures were two that I forgot to include in our fall decorations. The first is a little pumpkin I made out of cardstock for John's d...

I am: 19 weeks pregnant Size of Baby : Size of an heirloom tomato ~ about 8 1/2 ounces Total Weight Gained : 2 pounds Maternity Clothes : I have a nice little maternity clothes section in my closet. I am wearing maternity jeans and top in this picture. Gender : It's a BOY ! You can read more here . Name: Parker Holt Movement: No real movement yet, but I feel very slight twinges here and there. Movement can happen as early as the 16th week and as late as the 21st week. Sleep : I haven't slept the best this week. It's not that I'm NOT sleeping at all, I'm just really restless and having trouble getting comfortable - lots of tossing and turning. Plus I tend to sleep the majority of the time on my back and I am now sleeping on my side which is an adjustment. But I do get some sleep and I hate to complain with how easy I've had it so far. What I Miss : How about sleep? Haha! And I can't wait to have a caesar salad - oh yum! Cravings : No cravings yet How I...
