The Ussery Update

Well, I have returned from my Walk to Emmaus! As I type this, I am still trying to recover and transition from my weekend environment to all that is reality! I know it will take some time to process ALL that I experienced. I'm pretty exhausted - physically, mentally and emotionally (but it's a good tired!!) Word cannot describe my weekend and all that I was a part of - it was overwheming, but again in a wonderful way. It was an INCREDIBLE weekend for me. I'm so glad that God lead me to this experience this weekend and it definitely made an impact on me. I learned more about myself and my faith journey. I had a lot of time (uninteruppted time) to pray, listen, meditate, laugh, cry (A LOT), share my life with others, be influenced by the lives of others, escape reality, reflect on several things, dwell in God's word, grow spiritually...the list goes on - it was a full weekend! My only hope is that I can continue to keep the fire buring within me and live my life

Welcome to our first blog! We are excited to use this new forum as a way to better share our lives with friends and family... As many of you know, I will be going on a Walk to Emmaus this weekend. I leave Thursday afternoon and will be back Sunday night. I am feeling various emotions as I prepare for this weekend of spiritual growth, but overall I am very excited and anxious. I will of course miss my dear, sweet husband, but he has plenty of things to keep him occupied. Hopefully sometime next week, I can share my Walk experience with you! Until we meet again... Riley
