The Ussery Update

 Parker started our first full day in Oklahoma City in full vacation mode - relaxing in bed, watching cartoons and eating breakfast! He LOVES hotels - he was so excited each day to be staying in a hotel and still talks about the next time we can go stay in another hotel.  We had some issues with our air conditioner the night before and next morning.  They tried replacing a part and that didn't work so they ended up replacing the entire unit while we were out for the day. It made for a stuffy environment for a little while, but we ended up getting a free night at the hotel! Our plan for today was to visit and explore the Science Museum and eat lunch there.  Then we had some more fun planned for later in the afternoon and evening. Today we finished up our time in Stillwater and then made our way to Oklahoma City. After we got up and ready for the day, we checked out of our hotel and went to breakfast. Granny’s Kitchen was another place I found online that was highly recommended. It did not disappoint! It was a small family owned cafe and one of our favorite meals of the trip. It was a yummy way to start the day. After breakfast, we made our way to a small children's museum/play place in Stillwater before we made the trek to Oklahoma City. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded.  Because of the Oklahoma teacher's strike, the kids were out of school for a few days.  It was more crowded and louder than we anticipated.  Parker wanted to stay and play for a little while, but we didn't stay a very long time.  It would have been a fun place if it was a little less packed.  After we played for a while, we shopped a little, had lunch and drove to Oklahoma City.
