Oklahoma Trip ~ Day Four
Parker started our first full day in Oklahoma City in full vacation mode - relaxing in bed, watching cartoons and eating breakfast! He LOVES hotels - he was so excited each day to be staying in a hotel and still talks about the next time we can go stay in another hotel.
We had some issues with our air conditioner the night before and next morning. They tried replacing a part and that didn't work so they ended up replacing the entire unit while we were out for the day. It made for a stuffy environment for a little while, but we ended up getting a free night at the hotel! Our plan for today was to visit and explore the Science Museum and eat lunch there. Then we had some more fun planned for later in the afternoon and evening.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves (this isn't even all of the pictures we took), but we had SO MUCH FUN at the Science Museum. We all agreed that this was our favorite part of the entire trip. It was HUGE - two stories and tons of interactive fun and learning exhibits. We were there for several hours and ate a yummy lunch there too. It had everything you could possibly imagine and Parker had a blast exploring. His favorite things were the fish, telephone booth, watching his skeleton and muscles, the puppet theater and climbing structures.
After the Science Museum, we made our way to a fun pie shop in town (again another place I found doing some research). It was so very delicious - we may or may not have eaten a piece there and got two more slices to go! We also drove around the area where the Oklahoma City bombing occurred and then made our way back to the hotel.
We rested for a little while at the hotel then we walked down the street for supper. We ate at Brickopolis - a pizza and play place. They had miniature golf, river boat rides and arcade games. Our hotel and parking garage was actually attached to and opened up to a minor league baseball park.
We had such a full and fun day spent together! More adventures were to come the next day - at the Zoo! Stay turned for more of our trip pictures.
Until we meet again...
Riley
