Happy 25th!

Image
This is my wonderful Dad (Gregg) and my sweet step-mom (Kristin) and today they are celebrating 25 years of marriage. Cue the party horns, streamers and confetti!! Happy 25th Anniversary to you both! They got married in 1986 when I was 7 years old. Wow ~ so much has happened since then - lots of ups and downs through life. But you've been side by side through it all for 25 years and I'm so happy for you and thankful God brought you two together when and how he did. I am excited about the next chapter of your life together and pray for nothing but the best for two people who really deserve it. Enjoy your day and here's to the next 25! We love you... Riley & John

Taste The Rainbow

In honor of St. Patrick's Day , I made some super fun cupcakes for John and I Monday night. Honestly, it was simply my desire to have fun in the kitchen baking, but I used St. Patrick's Day as my excuse to bake and play when I could have been doing more productive things. I made 16 cupcakes so I kept a few for us at home and took the rest to share with everyone at work. What makes the cupcakes "super fun"? They are R A I N B O W ! I really enjoyed making them, but they did take a lot of time. Note to self: "Next time around, make these on a weekend". But in the end, it was worth it. It was a new recipe and I had a good time making them. I took a white cake mix and prepared it according to the package directions. I then divided the batter evenly into six paper bowls and colored them red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Then I lined muffin tins with cupcake papers and divided the purple batter among the cupcake papers, then the blue and so on up

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I'm linking up with Jamie today for "What I'm Loving Wednesday". Here's what I'm loving today... I'm LOVING that this weekend, my wonderful husband John and I will be at the "WEEKEND TO REMEMBER". It's an amazing marriage conference/weekend getaway. The conference and where we will be staying is at the beautiful Gaylord Texas Resort. We went to this for the first time last year and it was AMAZING! When it was over last year, we knew we'd be coming back. It's so important to take care of your marriage and this is a great opportunity to do so. I'm LOVING Dave Ramsey. You can read my reasons why in a recent post here . I'm LOVING our newly painted and redecorated laundry room - it's so fun. You can see the rest of the pictures here . I'm LOVING the gorgeous spring weather we've been having. While the Fall/Winter months are my favorite time of year, I really enjoy the spring as well. Plus Easter is o
