Thanksgiving Weekend

We stayed at home for Thanksgiving again this year - the Ussery three. We enjoy spending time with our families at the holidays, but have also loved being at home too! 
The Tuesday before (which is our normal grocery day) we went to stock up on everything we would need for our Thanksgiving meal and desserts and for the weekend snacks. We planned to decorate for Christmas over the weekend and it's tradition to have snacks and finger foods while we decorate.
Parker is a lover of grocery shopping, as am I, so we are a perfect pair and he's a happy helper!

We also made place cards for our table. Three things I love - crafting, time with Parker and festive touches around our home. Ussery, party of three... Your table is ready!
We had quite a feast and lots of leftovers for the weekend.  I love making all of the Thanksgiving food - one of my favorite days of the year!  We combine both of our families traditional food and recipes.  It was mighty tasty if I do say so.

Yesterland Farm & Halloween

Well, here we are celebrating the most wonderful time of the year and I'm just now blogging about October.  That's just the way the cookie crumbles these days.  As much as I'd love to stay on top of blogging, I just can't.  There are so many things to blog about, but simply not enough time.  Life keeps us busy each and every day...and it's good.  I'll just have to resign myself to the fact that I'll share what I can as time allows.

The weekend before Halloween the Ussery three ventured out to a farm near us for a little fall fun.  We headed to Yesterland Farm early on a Saturday morning - it was about an hour drive.
