Weekend in Lubbock!

We had a great weekend visiting our friends Carianne and Austin in Lubbock!

We got there late Thursday night and headed back home on Sunday morning. We ate, shopped, played games, ate some more (haha!), talked, baked...the guys watched a movie and played some video games while the girls worked on a few "projects" for the Ussery house. It was a good time!

Carianne and Austin are expecting their first child in November so we also went walking around Baby Depot and were overwhelmed with ALL the baby stuff out there - so fun though! We did lots of talking about "baby" over the weekend. It's such an exciting time for them and we got to see their first sonogram.

Carianne and I have been the best of friends since the 10th grade - I was 15 and she was 14 the summer of 1994 when we met in summer band. This year marks the 15th year of our friendship! I remember how we were both convinced that neither one of us would ever get married and now she's having a baby - so great! We've been through ups and downs in life together and have a beautiful friendship that I'm very thankful for!

Again, it was great to spend the weekend with them in their lovely home - thanks for a great time! We wish we could spend more time together, but we do our best to stay in touch and see each other when we can!
