Weekend in Mount Vernon
We spent this past weekend in Mount Vernon, Arkansas where John's family lives. We drove up on Thursday night (about a 5 hour drive) and came home Monday afternoon. We had a really great time and did a variety of things. Our nephews Jacob and Isaac had an awards ceremony at school on Friday morning so we were lucky enough to get to go to that. They both got several awards and we are a proud Aunt & Uncle! They are growing up so fast - Isaac turned 2 on our wedding day and he'll be in the 3rd grade next year and Jacob will be in the 5th.
Friday night we cooked out, made homemade ice cream and played catch out in the back. Much of Saturday and Sunday were spent in Little Rock at a baseball tournament the boys were playing in. We also did some eating (as always), visiting/catching up, baseball watching, playing outside, playing UNO among other things - it was really a nice time! Calvin also really enjoyed himself out in the country.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend (we took lots as always)...

We hope you had a nice weekend - we will be home for the next two weekends. We love being able to travel and do fun things, plus visit family...but it's nice to be at home too.
Until we meet again...
:) Riley
