Up in Smoke

On Saturday, John tried out his new smoker for the first time! We got a new grill a few months ago...a 3-in-1 grill (charcoal, gas and smoker) - it's awesome. John had never smoked anything before so he decided to give it a go with a brisket. He trimmed and marinated the brisket overnight Friday and started it about lunch time on Saturday. He kept watch over it and let it smoke for several hours. The dinner menu was the brisket along with baked beans, potato salad, beer bread rolls and brownies - hungry yet?? He did an EXCELLENT job - especially for his first time. The brisket was so delicious and had the best flavor...very tender and yummy! We had leftovers after church on Sunday and we think it was even better then. He's already got a list of things he wants to smoke now - the sky is the limit. Thanks again, my love!
