Sea World

Here we are in October and I'm still trying to play catch up with the ol' blog from the last month or so - tis life!

At the end of August, we made a weekend trip to San Antonio to take Parker to Sea World.  He had mentioned for months that he really wanted to go.  Parker is all about sea creatures and ocean animals.  We've gone to the aquarium a couple of times and he loves it.  We were hopeful he would really enjoy Sea World.

No exciting event is complete without a paper chain countdown.  We've made a few countdowns over the past year or so and they have been fun and helped build the anticipation!
These are by no means all of the pictures.  Between my phone, John's phone and our camera we took over a hundred pictures so this is just a taste of our trip.  I wish I could post them all, but there are so many!

We drove to San Antonio on a Thursday morning.  Once we arrived there late that afternoon, we checked into our hotel and went down to the Riverwalk for dinner and a riverboat ride.  The weather was perfect and it wasn't crowded - it was nice and we had so much fun that night!  Parker really enjoyed it.

The next morning Parker was as eager as he could be to make our way to Sea World - complete with light-up shark sandals.
There are so many details and stories from our day, but I'll just spare all of that and just say that it was awesome.  Parker did so well and we had an absolute blast!!  Parker so enjoyed it and it was wonderful to see how much fun he was having.

We saw lots of animals that live in the water, rode the carousel and ferris wheel, watched a couple of neat shows and did some souvenir shopping. It was such a great day and far exceeded our expectations!

We made so many memories at Sea World! I'm grateful for our little weekend getaway and look forward to many more travel adventures as a family.
He gave the day his all - case in point.

Until we meet again...
Riley
