The Ussery Update

Yesterday the weather was cloudy, windy and humid so I opted for pigtails due to the fact that I had errands to run and grocery shopping to do. As Frank Sinatra sang, "Nice 'n' easy does it every time". I am : 25 weeks pregnant Size of Baby : Rutabaga (which I discovered yesterday is a root vegetable that's a cross between a cabbage and a turnip -how's that for Vegetable Education 101) ~ 1.5 pounds and 13.5" long Total Weight Gained : 5 pounds Maternity Clothes : I am wearing maternity jeans and a non-maternity shirt in this picture. I actually have a picture down below of me in this same shirt at 14 weeks. I bought another pair of dress pants yesterday at Target. I already have pair of gray dress pants, but wanted some black ones to wear to church or other dressier activities. Gender : It's a BOY ! Name : Parker Holt ... I am : 24 weeks pregnant Size of Baby : Large ear of corn ~ 1 1/4 pounds and a tad over 12" long Total Weight Gained : 5 pounds Maternity Clothes : I have a nice little maternity clothes section in my closet. I am wearing maternity jeans and maternity shirt in this picture. Gender : It's a BOY! Name : Parker Holt Movement : I feel movement here and there ~ such a neat feeling! The other night I felt like I had swallowed popcorn and it was popping in my stomach. Sleep : I am sleeping better now with my Boppy Body Pillow. I still have a few struggles occasionally, but it's improved so much. I had a couple of restless nights last week, but a few really good nights of sleep as well. John's also been making me, make that encouraging me (that sounds sweeter), to try an take a nap everyday. I tend to not like to stop progress on my to dos - hah! What I Miss : I still miss the same things that I have all along. I'm keeping a mental list of all of these things I will induld...

This past weekend, I got a few more things when my Mom and I went shopping. I bought a couple of items and my Mom bought me a few as well. I am wearing maternity jeans and a regular shirt in this picture. Gender : It's a BOY! Name : Parker Holt Movement : I feel flutters and movement here and there ~ such a neat, but different feeling! Sleep : I am sleeping A LOT better with my Boppy Body Pillow. I love it!! I still have a few struggles occasionally, but it's improved so much. It feels like I swallowed a butterfly or fish and he seems more active in the evenings so that's when I feel him most. Sleep : Thanks to my sweet mother-in-law, the past couple of nights have been much better! Last night, I slept the best that I have in several weeks. While John's parents were here this weekend, they bought me a Boppy Body Pillow. It took a little getting used to at first, but it's so nice and has helped a lot. ...
