The Ussery Update

I am: 15 weeks pregnant Size of Baby: Baby Ussery is the size of an apple Total Weight Gained: No weight gained yet ~ I lost a few pounds right after I found out I was pregnant and I'm slowly gaining them back, but I still weigh about the same as I did pre-pregnancy. I know it's coming though! Maternity Clothes: I have a nice collection started. I am wearing maternity jeans in this picture and a cute maternity top my Mom got me. I need to get a couple of pairs of maternity dress pants for the fall. Gender: We don't know yet, but will find out in early October - only about 4-5 weeks. So excited to find out... Name: We have our names picked out, but waiting to reveal his or her name once we find out. Movement: No movement yet Sleep: Overall, I'm sleeping good. I had a few restless nights last week, but I did some pillow adjusting and I've slept really well since doing that. What I Miss: ( I decided I would try to think of something specific from the past week...

This post is WAY overdue! Our sweet nephew Scottie (who is 6 and soon to be 7 in about two weeks) came to stay with us for a couple of days at the end of July. We met my Dad and Kristin halfway for lunch and picked him up and then he went back with us to the Family Reunion. It worked out great! We had such a fun time with him. He is a precious little boy...and hillarious! He was a blast to have around and we made some good memories while he was here. It was his first visit by himself and he did great. He was very well behaved and I think he had a good time too. We played with toys, put together puzzles, played board games, made homemade play dough, played the Wii, watched lots of cartoons, did some shopping, ate a lot, made cookies, played with Calvin...lots of fun! I think the highlights for him were going to Chuck E. Cheese and the Legoland Discovery Center. It was really neat to see how excited he got. Also, the first night he was here, he lost one of his front teeth. ...

This is my sweet Mom (Mari) and my cool step-dad (Armando). They are lots of fun and awesome dawesome (inside joke)! Today they are celebrating 10 years of marriage. Cue the party horns, streamers and confetti!! Happy 10th Anniversary to you both ~ you are a wonderful couple! They got married in 2001, but were together for many years before that. Wow ~ so much has happened since then...lots of ups and downs through life. But you've been side by side through it all for all of those years. We are so happy for you and thankful God brought you two together. We're excited about the next chapter of your life together and pray for nothing but the best for two people who really deserve it. I liked the first picture better, but my t-shirt was bunched up at the bottom so it makes me look a little bigger than I am, so I pulled my shirt down more in the second picture. If you know me at all, you won't ask me to profess my love for FOOTBALL. You already know the love and passion I have for the greatest sport ever! (Insert my husband's plea for baseball as the greatest sport ever, although he loves football almost as much as I do). Nevertheless, it's that glorious time of year and we ARE ready for some football. High school football in Texas kicked off last night. There's nothing quite like the sight of stadium lights in the distance or the sound of marching bands and annoucers coming from the stadium. My Bronchos are playing in Odessa as I type, although it's not looking too good thus far - ouch. We have plans to go to a Royse City Bulldog game in a couple of weeks. It should be a fun Friday night. If all goes according to plan, we will make our way to Odessa at the end of October to watch the Bronchos battle the Panthers in the annual cross-town rival game. I can taste the cotton candy now. College football will start next ...

I am 12 weeks pregnant! Here's what's going on... I am : 12 weeks pregnant Size of Baby : Baby Ussery is the size of a lime Total Weight Gained : I really haven't gained any weight yet. I actually lost a couple of pounds in the first few weeks, which is normal, plus I was walking daily and eating really well. I have put back on those 4 pounds, but still weigh about the same as I did before we got pregnant. Maternity Clothes : My Mom a.k.a. "Mamaw" and I together have purchased a few pieces of clothing so I have a good collection started. There are a couple pairs of jeans that are a tad too tight, but I'm wearing them with a belly band.
